A summer of successful projects

2 september 2022

The National Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands programmed several orchestral projects, a large chamber music ensemble and a children's performance this summer. They were all well received.

The NJO Opera Orchestra, conducted by Antony Hermus, gave five sold out performances of Bluebeards Castle by Bartók in De Melfabriek (The Milk Factory) in Arnhem. The Symphony Orchestra, led by Alexander Shelley, performed their program Mahler & Britten in Theater Orpheus in Apeldoorn, The Concertgebouw and the Konzerthaus in Berlin. In addition, they played the Violin Concerto by Britten with violinist Coraline Groen in a setting where the audience sat in the middle of the orchestra in the Zwitsalfabriek in Apeldoorn. The NJO Brahmsnonet has performed five times in various gardens and concert halls. The family show Het KANSRIJK took place four times at Rosendael Castle.
