MusXchange is the international exchange programme of the European Federation of National Youth Orchestras (EFNYO). Because the National Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands (NJO) is a member of EFNYO, members of NJO have the opportunity to participate in exchange programmes, which aim to introduce the young musicians to other orchestral cultures. MusXchange is co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union. More information about EFNYO can be found on the page about international partners on the NJON website (only available in Dutch).
What does MusXchange offer?
Orchestral projects in the rest of Europe provide musicians from NJO with additional experience in repertoire, teachers, conductors and concert halls. They provide a glimpse into other orchestral and music cultures and into different forms of music education in other countries. In addition, friendships are made and social and language skills are trained and acquired. Participation in MusXchange is documented and evaluated. Proof of participation can be submitted when applying for professional orchestras in the Netherlands and abroad.
More information about MusXchange can be found on the MusXchange page on the EFNYO site.
