He specialises in the combination of conducting and solo playing. His solo CDs with concerts by Haydn and chamber music by Brahms have been very well received internationally. Jasper is also involved in coaching musicians in preparation for peak moments and training for improving concentration.
Jasper is chief conductor of the VU Chamber Orchestra and Caecilia Camerata. In 2015 and 2016, he was already a guest at the NJO as conductor of the performance An Evening with Kurt Weill and a wind ensemble. About working with young musicians Jasper says: "It is very pleasant to work with students. The inexhaustible energy and uninhibited musicality are very contagious. I would call it a privilege to be able to use my knowledge and experience to enrich these young musicians with a hopefully beautiful experience."
