NJO Wintertournee

The NJO National Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands, led by the passionate Antony Hermus, plays Stravinsky's emotionally charged masterpiece Le Sacre du Printemps during its annual Winter Tour. The renowned Storioni Trio is celebrating its 25th anniversary in the 2020-2021 season, which was a good reason for the NJO to invite the three as soloists. Trio and orchestra together bring a forgotten composition by the Hungarian Emanuel Moór to the stage. Debussy's Jeux is also on the programme, a work that premiered exactly two weeks before Le Sacre du Printemps! At the request of the NJO, Bram Kortekaas wrote a new composition that forms the prelude to the Sacre. With his love for the symphony orchestra, the talented composer Kortekaas is inspired by political and social themes. His Hommage à Stravinsky is the perfect introduction to Le Sacre du Printemps.
