Vacancies summer 2021
Video auditions are held for all vacancies remaining after the analysis by the NJO artistic staff of the number of participants who are either NJO members or invited musicians who were selected for earlier cancelled projects. Only for percussion and timpani, live auditions will be held instead of video auditions. Registration is possible up to and including 27 March for students at conservatoires in the Netherlands and Belgium and students with the Dutch nationality at conservatoires outside of the Netherlands, aged 18 to 26 years. The audition videos must also be included in your application by 27 March. If there are still unfilled vacancies, non-Dutch students from conservatoires outside the Netherlands and Belgium will be given the opportunity to audition from 30 March.
For invited musicians, the NJO tried to find a similar place in the orchestra as they were previously assigned to without the need of auditioning again. Invited musicians are not allowed to apply for the vacancies in the video-audition round because they have preference over new candidates anyway, also if they are currently on the reserve list.
Musicians placed on the reserve list of the earlier cancelled projects, can apply for the vacancies in the video-audition round.

1. NJO Brass Ensemble conducted by Jasper de Waal (26 July - 3 August)

The NJO Brass Ensemble can be combined with the NJO Symphony Orchestra and the NJO Tuba Quartet (see below).
